WishWave is designed to be flexible for server teams and simple for members. Here are the practical answers.

Join the support serverHow much setup does an admin have to do?
Invite WishWave, choose your birthday channel, and adjust any optional controls you want. The onboarding message points admins to every command, and /server birthday settings shows the current configuration with test actions in one place.
Why does WishWave need its Discord permissions?
The permissions support the features you configure: creating the birthday channel, sending announcements, opening wishes threads, attaching media, managing the temporary birthday role, and checking setup issues. If anything required is missing, WishWave sends an alert to admins with the exact fix.
Can we control who gets celebrated?
Yes. Admins can require a specific server role, while each member can decide which shared servers may announce their birthday with /birthday servers. Members can also delete their saved birthday data with /birthday delete.
What happens when someone posts a wish?
The wish appears on the birthday page and is streamed to every server where that birthday was announced. Admins can send wishes directly to the birthday channel or keep each celebration organized in its own thread.
How does WishWave handle timezones?
Members can provide a country or nearby location when setting their birthday. WishWave estimates the timezone, shows the result clearly, and provides guided region, country, and timezone selectors if it needs to be changed. Leaving location empty uses UTC.
Do people need Discord to leave a wish?
No. Friends can write a name and wish directly on the page. Connecting Discord is optional and replaces the name field with their Discord avatar and display name.
What if the birthday announcement cannot be delivered?
The birthday page still goes live. If WishWave cannot announce it in any server, it DMs the celebrant directly with the link so they can share it with friends and family.
Are birthday wishes saved afterward?
Yes. After the party closes, the celebrant receives a recap and can revisit their saved pages and wishes anytime with /birthday history.
